We have been wanting to install new countertops/backsplash/sink/etc. since we bought the house almost 3 years ago. We finally replaced the lovely cream-colored laminate with granite. The laminate was stained and chipped in multiple places. The backsplash hasn't been installed yet but I couldn't wait to post pictures!

(oddly, the sink is my favorite part of the entire project)We also changed all SEVENTY-TWO pulls in the kitchen. We didn't want to go super modern but we definitely wanted to say goodbye to the nineties.
