Christmas... in August?

My Mom's family gets together at random times of the year to celebrate Christmas. A different sister determines the time and place every year. This year, it was in August at Mahoney State Park in Nebraska. Considering this took place just 10 days after Kamden was born, we weren't planning on going (especially after a C-Section). Luckily, I recovered MUCH faster than expected and we completely surprised the entire family!

First Road Trip!

All the older kiddos were enjoying the great weather.

Typical family shenanigans...

Crazy Uncle J

The W family was in a horrible wreck on the way to NE. Luckily, they all came out with only minor injuries considering their car was totaled.

Great Grandma and Kamden (he is her 10th GG-Child!)

All 10 of them!

MIZ....

Mizzou fan in training.

Diiiirrrty

We didn't want to have THAT kid so we decided we should probably give him a bath. He didn't think this was a good idea.

Much better....

Welcome Home Surprise

We arrived home to a great surprise. Aunt's S & C had decorated the house with balloons and a stork out front.

Grandma & Grandpa R helped convert the dining room into K & I's temporary room. After a C-Section, I am supposed to take it easy and avoid things like stairs. We are ready to move to our permanent rooms sooner than later :)

I am outta here.

The hospital was great but after 3.5 days, we were ALL ready to leave.

Let's Go!!!

Meeting the Family

So many people came to visit Kamden in the hospital!

Aunt J

Uncle DCousins!!!! B is 3 and O is 4 months (they change SO FAST)!

Nana, Aunt C, and Uncle J

Grandpa M and Grammie

Aunt S
Grandma & Grandpa R
Sorry to the few other people that visited (S & R).
I didn't remember to get pictures of everyone :(

He has arrived!

The amazingly perfect Kamden Jacob arrived on 8.2.11! It has been a whirlwind of a week but we are all doing well!

On to the good stuff....

He was a big boy at 8 lbs 9 oz and 21.5 inches long...

With a FULL head of very blonde hair...

We are doing well (minus our much loved sleep).
