Fun day

In early May there was a Train Day at a local park.  There were free rides, live kid music, and some other tents/vendors.  I had completely forgotten this train existed and that it is open daily for only 50 cents a ride!  We really need to take better advantage of it... it is only about 5 minutes from our house and walking distance from my sister's house!

After trains and a nap, we went to the Royal's game.  I don't think I saw more than a few plays but Kamden had a great time.  We didn't get a great picture... he was too busy running around!

Memorial Day

Memorial Day started out very rainy and gloomy but we made the most of it...
(sidenote - the crayola mess free markers/paper are amazing)

A few weeks ago after breakfast, I asked him if he wanted to go to "school" today.  He grabbed his stuff and went to the door before I had the chance to get him dressed!

B and A's Wedding

My cousin B married the beautiful A a few weekends ago.   This means we had 2 fun weekends of family time!  We had a couples shower for them in April.... complete with games and gifts.

We originally played this game at my sister's couples shower... the bride is blindfolded and feels the guys calves to determine which one is her fiance.  A was back and forth between her brother and her fiance... but chose her brother :)

Most of the gang.  Group pictures are virtually impossible.

Now on to the main event!

It's a....

BOY!!!

Kamden is going to have a little brother in September!

A friend has an etsy shop that sells all sorts of gender reveal goodies.  We opted for the big balloon.  It was a huge hit!  The kids love the confetti... I am pretty sure we will be finding pieces all over the house for months :)

The balloon.  We enlarged it almost 24" but it can go up to 36"!

All the kids LOVED playing with the confetti afterward!

Easter 2013

Quick post about Easter... since it happened almost a month ago.

For Good Friday, Nana had us over for a hot dog roast.  Kamden had a little "Easter Egg" hunt.  It was really little balls but he didn't care!  Sorry about the awful pictures from the phone.  I was very glad he was able to do this because on Easter day, he slept through the hunt.

The rest of the weekend we spent at my parent's house.  A cousin from MN drove down with her boys.  It was a very fun weekend with 5 little towheads!

A LOT of buggy rides were had...

The Easter Bunny brought all kinds of goodies.

Looking rather adorable in his Easter getup.

The W family

My cousin and her boys (her husband couldn't make it that weekend).

The kiddos ready to hunt (minus K who slept through the fun).

O was looking rather determined to find all the eggs.

The Dads got the memo....

A bit after Easter, Grandma and Grammy came over to deliver more goodies.  Kam received a Hallmark Story Buddy named Mason.  This is his third Story Buddy and they are a huge hit in this house.  His face just lights up when the stuffed animal participates in the story.  Great gift idea!

BOGO!

Nope, this post isn't about a shoe sale.  It is about a SECOND BABY!  That is right, I am PREGNANT! I have nicknamed #2 BOGO (buy one, get one) because with K we had to go through so much.... years of trying, a small fortune, much heartache, and endless disappointment.  Full story can be found here.  This time around it still took a long time. I only took birth control until K was about 3 months old.  I started taking one medication (that helps with fertility issues) sometime later and about 6 months after that, we were pregnant!

We found out while we were in Mexico.  I took a pregnancy test at about 4 am and hit Joe a few minutes later to wake him up.  Joe was in complete disbelief (and continued to be for about a month).  I was a little more believing but still shocked that we did it on our own.  Joe kept saying, "This doesn't feel real, who do I need to send the big check to?"

Needless to say, we are THRILLED.  Kam has no idea what is about to hit him!

His shirt says "ONLY CHILD expiring sept 2013"  Thanks Pinterest :)

Card Table Cover

My Mom is amazingly talented with a sewing machine and a little fabric.  She started making card table covers back when I was a little girl.  She keeps improving the designs and making them more and more impressive (and complicated to make).  They are now 2-sided and have so much detail... most of which is completely lost in these pictures.

Lake, boating, fishing... That fabric is actually woven pieces... amazing!

Our home, animals, college, etc....

"I SPY" ...

Travel...

Top of the table with roads... great for his 243 matchbox cars :)

Monkeys ... includes fabric book

Eric Carle...

School/education...

 Dr. Seuss...

There are 2 openings for him to crawl under and play... the Monkey/Travel side flips up and the I SPY/Education side have streamers to go under.  He LOVES it.  If you look really closely, the amount of time spent is incredible.  The house has so many details that blow me away!

Thanks, Grandma for this priceless creation!
