Kamden's Birthday fell one week after getting back from vacation.
Unfortunately, we came home on a Friday to a 95 degree house. It took
SEVEN days to get that thing fixed (luckily it was 100% covered under
warranty). We were down to the wire with the house finally cooling off
the morning of the party. We are so thankful for family letting us
stay with them for seven days. Needless to say, after 2 weeks away from
home, we were all antsy to get back.
Kamden
requested a "Truck & Trailer" party. He is still very obsessed with
trucks and tractors. Particularly, flatbed trailers and whatever cool
stuff is loaded on top of them. I wasn't too inspired by the theme but
didn't try to change his mind. Luckily, Aunt J pulled through again
with an awesome cake!
Kam
has been wanting this bug vacuum since he saw it in a store months
ago. I love it when he comes up with something interesting that doesn't
include wheels!
This goofball found the magnifying glass :)
Grandpa M helping him out with a new backhoe...
Nana
built a sprayer for him to hold in the wagon of his ride-on tractor.
As you can see from this face... he was very excited!
I planed a little "cargo hauling" relay race...
These boys are going to be trouble some day. Two of them are particularly crazy already :)
Included in the gift bags for the kids were trucker hats. I think they look pretty darn cute on them!
You can never have too many trucks on a trailer...
Brody trying out the new sprayer...
On his actual birthday, we had a fun day on the boat... followed by ice cream on the "special day" plate.
****special thanks to Father Ken who took most of these photos for me :)
